Pray Without Ceasing
Here are some ideas about how to go about it.
Pray as Jesus Taught Us
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.
Prayer for Times of Anguish
Lord Christ,
you came into the world as one of us,
and suffered as we do.
As we go

help us to realize that you are with us
at all times and in all
things;
that we have no secrets from you;
and that your loving grace enfolds us for
eternity.
In the security of your embrace we pray.
Amen.

Pray St. Francis' Prayer
Lord,
make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me
sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt,
faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness,
light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O
Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to
console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to
love.
For
it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are
pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

and our lives to your service,

of the needs of others.

Adopt a Prayer Mantra
What is it?
A mantra is a simple phrase is repeated silently
as you go about your regular activities.
The mantra becomes a constant companion,
reminding you of your steadfast relationship with God
and helping you navigate all the distractions
your mind and heart may be prone to.
Examples:
"Marantha"
(a Hindu word meaning "Come Lord")
"Trust in the slow work of God."
(from the writings of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin)
"Glory be to God."
The first line of any hymn.
Pray the 23rd Psalm
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet water,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, They comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and live will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Amen.

through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

lead us from death to life,
from falsehood to truth.
Lead us from
despair to hope,

our Savior and Lord.
